Cascadia restaurateurs Kerry Sear and Heidi Grathwol originated the $1 miniburger phenomenon that catapulted their restaurant Happy Hour business; hungry patrons queued up everyday, sometimes 30 minutes prior to opening, for their miniburgers.
One day they asked us -- what do you think if we bought a car. A mini. A vintage minicooper. Oh yeah, it's canary yellow.
Brilliant.
Now the challenge: develop an identity for a Catering service -- around the car.
We used a minicooper silhouette as the foundation for the logo. Clean type set at an angle was used to give it a little racer feel. Support was added with the tagline, SMALL BURGERS. BIG TASTE.
Further projects included a website with downloadable PDF order-form, menus and more. We shot a photo that showed the quintessential 'stack' of three miniburgers and used it as the basis for a variety of graphic applications, appearing on the mini's roof, the menu and the website. |
